Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi Cardigan

Ceredigion County Council appointed Wynne Construction as Main Contractor for the design and build of extensions and remodelling works at Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi in Cardigan. This included a Sixth form block, drama studio and science lab. In total there were 11 new classrooms built as part of the development alongside the renovation, plus the removal of five temporary classrooms.

The school has been built using the Innovare Full structure (SIP) Structurally Insulated Panel system. Innovare’s (SIP) Structurally Insulated Panel System works to a detailed 3D design model in which potential clashes and buildability issues have been resolved. This provides the greatest possible certainty that the building will be ready for use on schedule and delivered within the agreed budget. The technology is also significantly less prone to delays caused by poor weather or shortages of materials and skilled labour.
