Mayflower Halls, Osborne Developments’ 1,104 bed student accommodation for the University of Southampton which uses Innovarés panels, has celebrated a significant milestone with a Topping out ceremony.
Held on Tuesday 25 February, the traditional ceremony marks the reaching of the highest point of the building.
In attendance were members from Osborne and our collaborative partners on this project, Terrace Hill, as well as representatives from Legal & General who helped to fund the development, and the University of Southampton.
Andrew Osborne, Chairman of Osborne, thanked everyone involved in the development for their hard work and effort, noting that this was an excellent example of working jointly towards a common goal.
The 3-block development, with a construction value approaching £50million, has regenerated disused land in Southampton City Centre to ensure that future Southampton students will have a comfortable and sociable living space.
The project is set to be completed in summer this year, ready for the 2014/15 academic year.
