Our latest project has gone to site this week in Margate, Kent.
Laleham Gap School is the county’s specialist SEN provision for high functioning pupils aged 3-16 with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and/or Speech and Language. The school is being relocated through the Priority School Building Programme and requires a residential block to be built alongside the main school building as part of the local authority’s Accessibility Strategy.
In partnership with Wates Construction, Innovaré Systems is providing the design, engineering, manufacture and construction of the full three storey structure which is built entirely in Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) and spans 1010 sq m. The new buildings include 30 residential places that will assist with moving the pupils closer to the rebuilt school and have been designed to fully meet their needs with improved access to education and associated services.
Innovaré is scheduled to deliver the project within 9 weeks.
More details on the building specification and current programme can be found in our PDF case study below.
